Transparent Magazine was born on the train home in my head. An idea to put out something different to the NME I was reading on that journey in late July 2005. I came home and set about thinking how to go about it. Sent emails to friends, asked around about the practicalities of it all. Slowly people were agreeing to writing articles, submitting reviews for me and helping with the publishing. Without me hardly realising it was born. It's hard to put a defining moment on when all the pieces joined together and we decided to to go for it. Probabaly one of the most hap-hazard publications around. From the idea popping into my head to the day of printing and distributing Issue 1 (t1) took ten days. So that's more or less it. I hope you enjoy the magazine, and you find that it is at least different to other pieces of literature you get handed. |
Granted, not the most ambitious name in the world but we *are* serious journalists after all........ These are the people that made it happen in that first issue.. It wouldn't be possible to do it alone so I owe a lot to the everyone's different expertise. I have given them all titles which I'm sure they will argue about later.
