Snowfight In The City Centre - No Light Left Here comes another band with an 80's pop sound that has recently seen commercial success for bands such as The Killers, The Bravery and Boy Kill Boy. When will they learn it was best left in the past? With a vocalist that sounds like a more relaxed Bernard Sumner and a similar riff ripping through the chorus as Battle's 'Tendency', 'No Light Left' mixes the present with the past. It can be tiresome and repetitive as the melody accompanies the vocals note for note, a quality that is cheesy and can cause you to easily lose interest. It fails to arouse me but lets look at the positives: it's catchy, well polished, pristine pop. And their not ashamed to say so themselves.
