Seven Seals - Loose Ends

This CD has caused me a lot of problems over the last two weeks, I lost it twice, then when it came to write this review, it wouldn't work in the CD player, but once I had rubbed the offending muck off the back and popped it back into the CD player I discovered an ambitious band that are doing something different to the current influx of 'new bands' that we all hear flouted around. For one thing, they can actually play their instruments.

They sound like the a modern Pere Ube with scratchy record-quality production and soothing prog rock inspired guitar solos. They have a sound that was popular in the mid nineties, a style similar to that of Blur when they were blending Syd Barrett with The Fall. And it's not just the single Loose Ends that deserves a mention, the b sides, especially Radio K. I . D are worth the money alone.
