Mono Taxi - Kind of Better

Mono Taxi are the type of band who can mean everything upon one listen, without openly saying anything. This glorious seven inch release is a hand on a beau's leg under the table in Chemistry or a wink over the photocopier, all set to a soundtrack of delightfully melancholy synthesiser lines and politely confident drum loops that carry Ellice Williams' hushed musings. Frantic B-Side 'Hardy Smile' sees the brothers Followill in a heated argument with Dr. Moog over just who exactly that seductress grasping the microphone is exactly. 'I am not what the world is waiting for/but maybe I am what you are looking for' reflects Williams' on 'Kind of Better'. I for one think she might well  have a point.
