Mighty Six Ninety - Believable

This song reflects a range of influences form the start. The opening riff is reminiscent of the intro to Razorlight's 'Stumble and Fall', when the drum kicks in Mogwai comes to mind. The synthy keyboards of the chorus scream 'New Order' and this influence is supported by vocals that say 'Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be...Bernard Sumner'. But it doesn't capture them well as it's clean cut, dreary sound proves. This song does contain a good, interesting and funky drumbeat that doesn't only hit one pad like everything else seems to do these days. This alone saves the song.
