Jaed - Catherine / Gutter Girl

Woah. Bang. What a blast of 47 seconds with 'Catherine'. They achieve more in these seconds than many "punk" bands have managed in an entire lifetime. The drums just bang along to pure guitar grinding. The front woman sounds like she's been dragging on cigarettes since she was 14. Have I mentioned that 'Gutter Girl' is like this, only longer?! A fair comparison would not be with the Riot Grrrrl groups of the 90s but with The Slits, the original 70s female punk band. If you're still a chauvinistic pig about rock music, then prepare to have your ears blown apart.
