Electro Ross Myspace Songs

MySpace seems to be leading a revolution in the way bands are advertising themselves and Electro Ross is no different to many of the up and coming artists who are making their music available for the whole wide world to listen at their whim.

Electro Ross, as far as I can see, is a fresh faced young man mixing electro tracks into each other (probably in his boxroom). The first track 'Childhood' starts with the iconic and inimitable intro from Grange Hill. It progresses into a fusion of different genres and samples from various tracks. Immediately I am thinking up comparisons between the great Osymyso but this is more....laid back and slow paced. Ross shows this diversity in what I can only call the slow electro ballad 'Dance Slow With Electro'. There is a twinkling quality about it, a sort of Arcade Fire-esque backdrop. I am finding it hard to describe the songs uniquely without mentioning influences from other bands. This is primarily because these songs do differ so greatly. It's certainly an endearing quality.

Arguably the standout song is the rap/hip-hop melee of 'Casually Jay-Z' in which the great rapper himself is sampled and slowed down. The track has soul but it doesn't compromise the original genius. It's Electro Ross at his best.
