ANd WhAt Will bE LeFt of ThEM? - Dance, Damn You, Dance EP

As first track L'Amour Violent begins, with a synthy foundation it's clear that AWWBLOT are making music that fits in with the current scene of the more pristine modern band. But, there's something different about their brand of pop. Elastica-esque guitars and vocals show that they're a band who could also have survived in the Britpop scene 10 years ago. Dominated mainly by it's female vocals, usually I wouldn't like something like this, but its complimentary boy-girl vocals (and the fact that the girl actually can sing) provide me 10 minutes worth of material that is worthy of a shoulder shuffle. It ends with it's best track, Dripping Wet . A guitar riff reminiscent of Detroit Cobra's sleazy sound, this track is in fact the complete opposite. A pop gem with yummy vocals and a sing-along chorus will make oodles dance like they're being electrocuted at the indie disco. Yet again, a promising and sunny release from FLA.
